Small Maroon Hardcover (approximately 6" x 4") with ornate gilt design on the front and spine. The top textblock is gilt, but the edge and bottom have a natural finish, which are now browning. Spots and staining on the covers, which also has bumped corners. Tailband is torn and headband is compressed. This book is cracked in several places, specifically at the Title page and from page 48-49; there are other areas as well and the book must be handled with extreme care. The book has spine lean. There is an inscription in pencil on the front endpaper and also the title page (which states 1895 as the publication date but is in pencil and as such is incorrect). Otherwise, it doesn't appear to have further writing. Book is in Fair Condition, but still shows some of its original beauty and should only be considered as a decorative addition to your collection.
