This is an original illustration for a book on the Bible drawn by Paul H. Chase (1895-1975) from Callaway, Nebraska. It is done in colored pencil. The text is all hand done on a manual typewriter. I bought a whole envelope years ago of his pages for a book he hoped to have printed. Each one measures 8" x 5" and the frame measures 11 3/4" x 8 3/8". I framed some of them and matted them. I was attracted to the detail and effort he put into each drawing. The center says in tiny print: The Bible verse illustrated by the picture is. I think he had that printed onto the paper because everything else is hand done. The boxes around the text and picture is hand drawn, as is the big letter to start each verse. I framed many of these when I got them and still have many left in the envelope. This listing is for this one only. Neat little one of a kind, naive drawing of a Biblical scene.
