Description: A large, detailed, copper-plate engraved map of the  south-western part of England, and Wales. It covers from part of Lancashire and Yorkshire in the north to Cornwall and the Isle of Wight in the south. The hand-coloured map features a decorative title cartouche. De Wit published maps and atlases throughout the final quarter of the 17th century and his maps are recognised for their fine engraving and clear lettering.

Condition: Good overall condition. Some creasing to the sheet. Approx. 3.5cm closed tear at the each end of the centrefold (entering the printed area but no loss). Several further small marginal closed tears, not affecting the printed area. Minor stain to the top and margin, again not affecting the image. Manuscript ink plate number in the top left margin. Please study all the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
