From what is probably my favourite laugh-out-loud moment in all of Cars 2, allow me to introduce.....

Disney PIXAR Cars 2013 FRANCESCO FAN MATER CHASE from the MATERS theme 4 of 6! Can you curb your excitement? I can't. FRANCESCO FAN MATER is one of the newer releases from last summer on the first carded series to combine new characters with old characters from both movies and a fresh look. What could be better than that? Maybe a deluxe-sized CHASE* car, for the first time in Cars history, hmmm?!? FRANCESCO FAN MATER is an all-new version of an existing, well-loved character and one that makes me not just laugh but double over laughing every time I see it. This is from the scene in Cars 2 where Mater has realized his best pal is in imminent danger. There is a big car chase and Mater crashes through several barriers, including a Francesco Bernoulli souvenir stand. It is nothing short of hilarious. 

2013 Maters theme FRANCESCO FAN MATER is DELUXE-SIZED 1:55 scale by Mattel. Diecast with plastic components. Many, many plastic components. There is no doubt that you are getting your money's worth in detail on this puppy. This character was first-to-market at Kmart in June of 2013 as part of a special promotion but has since been released at large. I drove all over heck's half acre (and by "half acre", I mean about 1,000 kilometres) to get mine when it was initially released. Now they are more readily available, if you're lucky and know the right people. Like me. 

FRANCESCO FAN MATER is new, in package. INTERNATIONAL CARD in good condition. The card is mostly flat but not along the top edge where it looks a bit chewed. The bottom corners are ever-so-slightly frayed. The artwork is immaculate. Nothing to note when viewed on reverse. The bubble portion of the blister is level and centre. It is clear as a whistle, without any wear from rubbing, but creased at the top and bottom of the middle parts of the left- and right-hand sides. Inside the package, FRANCESCO FAN MATER is in fairly nice shape BUT there is a huge honking piece of decal stuck to one tooth like the groom who's got spinach stuck between his teeth in all the wedding photos. (Happened to my brother-in-law, true story.) Please examine the supplied photos for more detail. With this listing, they depict the actual FRANCESCO FAN MATER for purchase and none other. (If you want photos of my brother-in-law on his wedding day, that's an entirely different matter. You'll have to talk to my sister directly because she's probably not speaking to me right now. Heh heh heh.) 

*CHASE is the term that Mattel uses to describe diecasts that are distributed in deliberately limited quantities. As it pertains to FRANCESCO FAN MATER, it means 'less than one per cent of vehicles in this assortment'.
