The Casualty Blanket, Type 1 is a substantially stronger version of the regular emergency blanket often found in survival kits.  Made from two layers of polyethylene film laminated to reinforcing fiberglass scrim, the Type 1 Casualty Blanket resists damage from rips, tears, and punctures.  Casualty Blankets have a shiny aluminized side designed to reflect heat and IR signatures, and can be used to protect against both hyper- and hypothermia.

These blankets are new manufacture (not surplus), manufactured on contract for 5col Survival Supply.

Features:
  • Olive Drab on one side with a reflective aluminized surface on the other, laminated to reinforcing fiberglass scrim and with sewn edging that resists rips and tears.
  • Measures 56 in. x 84 in. when unfolded, and folds down to 8 in. x 5.5 in. x 1.5 in. for easy carry in your survival or first aid kit.
  • Reinforced grommets allow corners to be tied together, or for the blanket to be used as a temporary tarp (not designed for prolonged use as a tarp, and will not withstand high wind).
  • Made in the USA, Berry Compliant.
  • Conforms to military specification MIL-B-36964 Type 1. NSN 7210-00-935-6665.
