*Full Disclosure*

These speakers were bought over a decade ago off the back of a white van. It became obvious that it was a scam almost immediately after I bought them. However, they do produce sound and I used them with my home stereo system without issue for more than five years.

This scam is well documented, and simply entering the product name, as I have named them in this listing, will yield a multitude of forum threads in which other people described their experience of having fallen for this scam.

The premise of the scam was that the sellers inflated the value of the speakers manifold. Consensus online seems to be that their true value, with respect to their materials, construction and the sound quality that they reproduce, seems to be in the region of £150.

There are several blemishes on the “piano black” wood veneer of the speaker cabinet, and the hard plastic base is beginning to crack. I have tried to reflect that in the images and asking price.

The technical specifications, as listed on the back of the unit, are as follows -

Recommended power amplification (watts): 50-600Watts

Frequency response: 28Hz - 32,000Hz

Sensitivity: 92dB SPL (2.83V @1m)

Nominal impedance: 4 - 8ohms

Make of that what you will, but the bottom line is that these are a substantial and reliable pair of speaker towers that, when prices fairly, would give the competition a run for its money.
