The coin is surrounded by a ring of silver proof one third ounce ‘jigsaw’ medallions portraying the ships of the First Fleet: Alexander, Borrowdale, Charlotte, Fishburn, Friendship, Golden Grove, Lady Penrhyn, Prince of Wales, Scarborough, HMS Sirius and HMS Supply. The 12th medallion depicts a stylised compass and the iconic Southern Cross constellation.
The total silver weight of the 12 jigsaw medallions and the coin centerpiece is 4 ounces.

The jigsaw shaped silver medallions, which form a part of the coin and medallion set, portrays the 11 ships of the first fleet. The 12th medallion depicts a stylised compass and the iconic Southern Cross. The 1oz silver proof coin has a coloured image of Governor Arthur Phillip and an outline of the Australian continent.
This coin will have further demand with a very limited mintage of only 1,500 coins being released.
This coin and medallion comes with a numbered certificate and housed in a timber box.
