French Empire Chandelier 8 Arm measures with chain and approximate 36“ x 26“ wide this is such a beautiful chandelier. There is great detail throughout the entire piece . It consists of mixed metals . At the top are beautiful roses with grapes and detailed chains that drop down to a beautifully textured dish that has an amazing hewn effect with bronze or copper band That goes around the top of the bowl that is detailed with decorative bunches of wheat.. there are eight candle arms attached to the bowl with decorative flower elements. Then on the bottom of the dish is a beautiful medallion with both flowers and wheat the ties it all together. I’m not sure of the true age but I can tell there is some aging from the inside of the dish either way this is an absolutely beautiful chandelier. It was salvaged out of an estate that was listed for 138 million and was formally owned by Danny Thomas. There are two beautiful matching sconces that were salvaged along with the chandelier that are being auctioned separate. I did not notice any major damage breaks or repairs there is some slight discoloring along the band but nothing major only showing there is age . One thing I did notice is the That mounts the light to the ceiling does not seem quite match the chandelier and looks as though it was added at a later date . I tried to include all detail in the photos as well as a photo of the sconces that are being sold separate. This auction is for one chandelier.
