HAWAIIAN WHITE GINGER- HEDYCHIUM CORONARIUM- ROOT STARTER ROOT- Fragrant. NOTE- this is a flowering ginger and prizes for us pods of blooming flowers and for the very sweet fragrance. You will receive two healthy root stocks that I have personally harvest for your order. I usually only send plants out on Monday-Wednesday to assure the get to you fresh and healthy. Also plant needs to be replanted about every 2-3 years or you may end up with a broken pot. I’ve had 24” diameter terra-cotta pots, crack in half. The roots don’t care if there’s not enough room, they will make some.

My advice would be to put one root in one pot if 8-10” diameter I’m good pitting soil and put outdoors to where they get morning sun and afternoon shade. Ginger loves water once establish roots have formed and can stir in water once growing since a good healthy pot full of roots will suck up a half gal of water a day. In the summer if you water and lightly feed plant, on the 4-7’ stalks, you will see a pod beginning to form and shortly after you will see a white flower with some yellow accents bloom. They will continue to bloom for about the next week. When you smell the bloom, you will be surprised how wonderful a scent from such a delicate flower. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
