The AuthaGraph World Map Poster - Single Map Edition

The AuthaGraph World Map is the latest innovative world map that represents the components (continents, oceans, etc.) of a spherical map in the most accurate relative size possible on a two-dimensional map. This AuthaGraph world map poster is arranged around the Pacific Ocean, and you can see Antarctica close to the South American continent in the lower right of the map.

This world map is produced by the following procedure.

• The surface of the globe is divided into 96 rectangular tiles.

• These 96 tiles are projected onto an inflated tetrahedron with 24 tiles on each side while maintaining the area ratio of each tile.

• The expanded tetrahedron is flattened into a regular tetrahedron, while maintaining the area ratio of each tile.

• The expansion of the tetrahedral globe cut open will be a rectangular world map with an aspect ratio of √3:4.
