This radio utilizes a LM386 AF amplifier with 0.5 watts output so you don't need to use headphones. Also it has a RF amplifier stage which offers a great reception sensitivity. This is a very special radio which uses a real vintage tube EF9 pentode. This great looking, high quality vintage style radio is designed to be just like homebrew radios that were built in the 1930s and 1950s by radio hobbyists in the great vacuum tube era.
