Imperial wound badge was established by Kaiser Wilhelm II March 3, 1918 in the three degrees. For one or two injured were given black mark for three or four injured - silver, five or more injuries and gold.  Sign was an oval wreath of laurel leaves with triple fruit intercepted at the bottom with a ribbon bow surrounding steel helmet M-15 on the background of crossed sword. Wound badge in World War I were made of all degrees of iron or non-ferrous sheet metal stamping by a hollow. In black painted signs resistant to solvents or paint blackens  chemically, silver and gold plated or simulated chemical methods. Hallmarks manufacturers on signs absent.  At the end of the First World War a large number of people were not able to receive their awards and this situation is not rectified before the end of the collapse of the Weimar Republic. 30th January 1936 the Ministry of Interior issued a declaration states that all wounded during World War II and did not receive wound badge can get it and the relevant documents, which in turn will allow them to wear a badge to officially and publicly. 20th April 1939, after the annexation of Austria, the Ministry of Interior issued a declaration declares that all who served in the Austro-Hungarian army and former wounded during World War II will also be able to receive this award. In fact, these awards were given until the end of 1941.
