This rare item is a cover sent from Mount Carbon to a saloon passenger on board the White Star S.S. Oceanic in1902.  The S.S. Oceanic, or more specifically the R.M.S. Oceanic because she was a mail ship, was launched in Belfast in 1899 and was considered to be the biggest ship in the world at the time - longer than the mighty Great Eastern but with a slightly lower tonnage.  During World War One she was converted to be an armed merchant cruiser but, very soon after, ran onto a reef whilst en route to Scapa Flow and was lost.
The cover has an embossed 2c stamp.  In good condition for its age.
Postage is free to a U.K. address

The items I offer for sale are treasured items from my own collections or my own household items; they are not items that have been specifically bought in to resell.

I try to give a good and honest description of the items.  I buy on Ebay myself so I try to offer a service at least as good as that which I expect from sellers.

I take time to pack items very carefully to ensure that they reach you in perfect condition.  (I would be no good working in an Amazon Warehouse!).

I usually despatch items on the next working day after receiving payment but, when I can, I will send the items the same day.

I always message the purchaser to keep them informed of despatch status.
