From 1938 (third quarter) here's a 4-5/8" long PARKER SHADOW WAVE VACUMATIC. This is a double jeweled pen and has tightly striated with highlighted GREEN pearl striping. The barrel has significant enough toning that it is a little difficult to clearly distinguish between green and gray pearl (but still tends to green), however the cap clearly has green strips as can be seen in the photos. The pen has excellent gold filled trim including engraved Art deco arrows and lines on the cap band. Plastic shows only minimum wear and no significant defects. Barrel imprint is still quite visible, including the 8. date mark. Black end jewels are flawless.  Movement of the metal Speedline filler is restricted to about 1/2 its range, and will need a new diaphragm and seals before it will take up ink. Nib is a smallish PARKER U.S.A. arrow nib with a straight fine tip and good iridium. Flexibility is quite significant. Great little pen.
