(Cissus antarctica)

A fast growing, and tasty bush tucker vine, found in rainforest areas all over the

east coast of Australia.

Also known as Water vine, Kangaroo vine climbs by means of clinging tendrils.

The bright green leaves can form a dense screen and are followed by bright copper-coloured new growth in spring.

It can be very vigorous but is easily maintained by pruning.

Bush tucker

Yellowish flowers, followed by large 15mm stunning purplish/black berries.

May be eaten raw or stewed and provide a delicious watery snack.

What will I receive?

You will receive 5 fresh seeds.

Cissus antarctica seeds will usually germinate in 30-180 days, even under good

conditions germination may be erratic.

Sow Cissus antarctica seeds about 1mm deep in a well drained seed sowing mix at

about 22°C.

Native seeds often respond well to smoke treatment, which also acts as a natural

fungicide.

Smoke infused Vermiculite is a great potting media additive and is often
