Much-loved silk 3-piece 1960s suit, AS IS. Brown textured-weave silk with black and cream (yellowish) trim details, also silk. Suit jacket and skirt are fully lined. Unfortunately, the cream lining of the jacket (fiber content unknown), and the cream trim of both the jacket and sleeveless top have several stains; there is also a small mended hole in the right sleeve (not easy to see when being worn; it’s in the inner elbow of the right sleeve; see photo). there is some light fading of the brown that gives it a reddish tint, but I did not find it very noticeable.

It’s possible that a good dry cleaner who is used to handling vintage items may be able to help with the staining, or perhaps a good tailor could replace the stained sections with a similar fabric, it is such a lovely suit, it seems like it would be worth restoring, even with its vintage defects.
