Each bead was carefully handmade by skilled craftsmen in the 1980s
These vintage decoupage beads are made with machine cut wood beads that are then covered by hand with colorful printed paper images. Any bare areas not covered by the design are then hand painted with a coordinating color (in this case it is black) so there are no large unfinished areas showing. Each bead is then coated with high gloss clear enamel to seal the beads and provide for long wear
Diameter can vary from bead to bead as these are handmade and the stringing holes are cut by hand, but is most often 3mm to 4mm
