I am a retired Antiques Dealer who is gradually  disposing of his stock through EBay. All items listed are genuine in my expert opinion, and the condition of the item is as listed. If any item is found to be not as described, or if the condition varies markedly from that given in the listing, then I will give a full money back guarantee upon receipt of the disputed item as long as I am notified within 5 days of receipt. I will also refund return royal mail signed for postage costs. In all other returns the buyer will be responsible for the return postage costs.

If there is anything that you are particularly collecting, or you have a wants list, please feel free to ask. If it is not immediately to hand (3 storerooms), I will make a note and come back to you if it turns up.

This is a Superb Mid 19th Century Unmounted Watercolour on Artist's Board of a Country Scene 'Horse, Dog and Ducks in a Farmyard' by the Early  Victorian Artist Charles Edward Brittan Senior. It features a farmyard scene outside the farmhouse with a working horse and a working dog with three ducks at rest in the foreground. The detail shown in this work is typical of the superb animal artist that was Charles Edward Brittan Senior. He did not exhibit extensively  but was noted for his expertise with animal scenes.

The quality of this watercolour is excellent with good detail throughout. The signature lower right is genuine and the only sign of any damage or foxing is a small water stain upper right sky (please see photos). The painting can be dated from the artist's board used. It being from J Turnbull of Beaumont Mill who left the partnership in 1848, which then became J Taylor in 1850.
