To use the adapter you would first unscrew the cap assembly from the BeFree water filter and replace it by screwing on the hex side of the adapter. You would next take a Smartwater bottle full of clean untreated water (tap water isn't acceptable) and screw that into the other side of the adapter and tighten everything down.  Applying pressure to the Smartwater bottle will force water back through the BeFree filter.  There may be a small amount of leakage seen while using the adapter, but it does not impact the ability to backflush the filter.

This adapter is for people who want to have some capability to backflush their BeFree filter in the event the filter starts to have restricted flow.  This adapter is being sold as a novelty item only, and the user of the adapter takes full responsibility for any issues or resulting damage that may occur to their filter while attempting to backflush it. 

The adapter is 3D printed using PETG material which is the same material that Smartwater bottles are made from.

What is shown in the pictures is what is being sold with no other items or accessories, and is the only item that will be sent.
