Holarrhena pubescens is a deciduous shrub or small tree in the Apocynaceae family. A native to China, Indochina, central and southern Africa, and the Indian subcontinent. Some common names include Indrajao, dhulkari, Koodsaloo, and Kurchee. Used in tincture form for Homeopaths and dysentery. It grows to 8 feet tall in full sun. The flowers are white with five petals around an inch across that get rounded at the tips. They turn a cream color as they age. Used for diarrhea, and the bark is used for some skin diseases. Birds, bees, and butterflies like this one. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Zones 10-11

Germination

Sow seeds 1/4" deep and lightly cover. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover and keep temperatures around 65-75F. Germination is in 7-30 days.
