Wax Discs

·       1lb set.

·       Pack contains approx 200 discs.

·       1lb discs approx 60mm dia.

·       Perfect for adding to jams, preserves, chutney, honey etc.

·       Helps prevent mould forming during storage.

·       Place disc wax side down.

·       Pot the jam / preserve and cover with a wax disc.

·       Do this whilst the preserve is piping hot or completely cold - to help exclude air and prevent deterioration.

·       When the jam etc is fairly cold the jar should be topped with a damped cellophane disc and secured with an elastic band.

·       The cellophane will shrink when it dries to create a tight seal over the jar.
