CHINA. 1968. 'CHINA MUST BE RED'. REPRO.  CHINA'S rarest stamp. This stamp was withdrawn from sale  the day after release as the island of TAIWAN, an independent nation [off the east coast of CHINA] was printed in white NOT red. The Chinese Government believes it belongs to them and have been trying for many years to get them to join them, so they believed it should have been printed in red like the rest of  the stamp. All sheets that were printed with white were confiscated by the Chinese Government and supposedly destroyed but as always [with errors and mistakes] some sheets escaped destruction and have been sold to collectors.  One block of four stamps was sold at the CHINA GUARDIAN stamp auction in 2018 for US$ 2000000.00. Value estimate 2019 A$ 50000.00 PLUS.
