SENNA WIN AT SPA IN CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING SEASON. Round 11/16 Belgian GP was Senna's fourth successive victory in the period mid-season that was to put him into the lead in the world championship. It was also to be Senna's seventh win of the season. Senna recorded his ninth pole position of the season and although in the race Prost got away ahead of him, Senna exited Eau Rouge faster and took Prost never to relinquish the lead for the rest of the race and finishing the race some 30 seconds ahead of Prost. Senna liked racing at Spa-Francorchamps, winning the race first in his JPS Lotus in 1985 and with victories with McLaren in 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991.  Senna tackling Eau Rouge is another of those iconic images in F1 history. A nice souvenir of Ayrton winning at one of the great tracks in F1 history.

Nicely illustrated and produced programme is in French and has articles by Lotus legend Bob Dance, Alan Henry and Bob Constanduros on the hobbies of the drivers as well as a feature on racing at Spa from the 1920s onwards. I do like seeing the drivers' helmets next to their profiles.

Race Podium:
Ayrton Senna 1st, Alain Prost 2nd, Ivan Capelli 3rd.

Final 1988 Championship standings 1st Senna 90 points, 2nd Prost 87 points, 3rd Berger 41 points.

Postage will be by airmail wherever possible.

Postage and the Pandemic

Our normal method of postage would be to use Japan Post to deliver by international standards via a form of Airmail/small packet/SAL. However, due to the pandemic acceptance of airmail-related post by Japan Post has been suspended temporarily to many countries so I will only be able to send as follows:

Airmail possible: UK, Europe (France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Poland are all currently fine but others may be restricted), New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan are all good at present.

Japan Post is currently offering no airmail options to the USA due to the virus. US buyers can request surface mail but Japan Post does not offer a trackable service and we must caution that it may take several months to arrive. The only air option to the USA I can offer is courier (UPS 4-6 days delivery) but UPS require a contact number for the recipient or they will not accept the package. Airmail to Canada and Australia are also currently suspended by Japan Post.

Items will typically be sent by a form of recorded delivery. All items with a value of above £40 will require a recorded delivery method of postage and will not be sent by surface mail.

Delivery would normally take from 2-3 weeks but may take 4-5 weeks in the current environment. Please be patient.

Surface mail may be possible, but this would take 1-3 months. If someone from outside these areas wishes to buy an item, please contact me before purchase and I will confirm if there are any postage options.

I will be posting all items from Japan and will generally use a fixed rate of postage of £6.50 depending on weight or unless stated differently. Please understand that in the current situation and with the restricted options available I have to assume a higher cost of postage and so have partially built this into the price I am asking for the items as well as my fixed rate of postage.

The item illustrated is what you will receive. No returns will be accepted in the current situation. If there are any problems on receiving the item please contact me to resolve before leaving feedback. Please leave feedback on receipt if satisfied.
