This €10 silver proof was issued to commemorate Ireland’s hosting of the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games. The principal design feature on the reverse of the coin is based on the games logo, which was designed by ‘The Power of 7’. The co-operation of the Special Olympics World Games organising committee was obtained for the issue of this coin. The obverse features the Irish harp in gold detail.
