Loretta Young was an American actress who started as a child and had a long 
and varied career in film from 1917 to 1953. In 1948 she won the Academy Award
for Best Leading Actress her role in The Farmer's Daughter. Young moved to television
 where her dramatic series called The Loretta Young Show ran from 1953 to 1961
 and earned three Emmy Awards.

Married actor Grant Withers, producer Tom Lewis and later in life 
 fashion designer Jean Louis.

 In 1935 she had an affair with the then married Clark Gable and had 
Gable's child, a daughter named Judy.
