This white 10oz. ceramic mug is decorated with a highly detailed hand drawn illustration of a George Harrison's 1957 Gretsch Duo Jet. Gretsch introduced the Duo Jet in 1953 to compete with Gibson's Les Paul model and it was a very proud George Harrison who paid £75 for his second-hand example in 1961. George later described the Gretsch Duo Jet as his "first good guitar" and played it whilst in Hamburg, at The Cavern Club, tours of Europe and America in 1964 and on many Beatles recordings. When he purchased it, George's Duo Jet was already modified with the addition of a Bigsby vibrato which required the strap button to be relocated slightly higher from the standard position.

This is not a photograph, it's hand drawn by George Morgan following extensive research.

The image has been dye sublimated onto the mug. This means the image is under the ceramic glaze and is dishwasher, microwave and UV-proof and with normal use will not scratch, crack, fade or peel.

The durable nature of this printing process makes this mug ideal for use in the house or the garage.
