This white 10oz ceramic mug is decorated with a highly detailed hand drawn illustration of Paul McCartney's famous Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass, from George Morgan.

Paul McCartney played two 500/1 Violin basses during most of his time in The Beatles. This 1963 model is the one that became known as ‘The Beatle Bass’. First seen during Ready Steady Go! in October 1963, this model soon became his main instrument and the one with which most people would recognise him. It was used for almost all The Beatles’ remaining live performances, recordings and television appearances until their break up.

The illustration of this famous bass is original and has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research. This is not a photograph.

The guitar has been dye sublimated onto the mug. This means the image is under the ceramic glaze and is dishwasher, microwave and UV-proof and with normal domestic use will not scratch, crack, fade or peel.

The durable nature of this printing process makes this mug ideal for use in the house or studio.
