AN/ARC-34 UHF Radio Set Module. It consists of:
Oscillator multiplier
Driver
Main RX
RF Power Amplifier
All four blocks are interconnected with a motor with worm gear transmission. They are all synced to turn simultaneously. All settings are intact from the time each of the modules was serviced.

Each block is mounted on plywood and boxed in original box from servicing factory. There is a yellow service tag attached informing that service was performed and unit able to run. All vacuum tubes seem to be new.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about these modules.

Radio Set ARC-34 is a miniaturized version of Radio set ARC-33. It is an airborne command, receiving-transmitting equipment designed for air-to-air and air-to-ground voice communication in the UHF range. Primary application of the equipment is for voice communication in fighter, bomber, reconnaissance and air support aircraft It will operate at altitudes up to 50,000 feet. Radio Set Control C-1057/ARC-34 permits presetting, in any order desired, of any 20 channels. One guard channel in the 238- to 248-megahertz range can be monitored simultaneously with normal operation of the equipment. The set has 150-ohm impedance, nominal, input and output circuits for use with either Intercommunication Set AIC-10 or Microphone T-17 and Headset HS-33. Other intercommunications systems can be used if the input and output impedances and interwiring can be matched. Flush-tail cap-type arrays, Antenna AT-256A/ARC, or any other UHF antenna having a 52-ohm coaxial transmission line, such as Radio Frequency Cable RG-8/U, can be used. This equipment can operate
with Direction Finder Group ARA-25 and Control Keyer Group ARA-26. Remote Channel Indicator ID-572/ARC and associated Control Box C-1057A/ARC-33 are designed for use with the ARC-33 installed in fighter aircraft to enable the pilot to select a channel without having to look away from the flight instruments.

AN/ARC-34 UHF Command Radio Set was used in A-37, B-52, B-57, F-5A/B, F-86, F-100, F-101, F/TF-102, C-130, C-135, VC-137A, C-140, CH-3C, H-43, H-53, T-38, T-39, U-2. It was replaced by AN/ARC-159 and AN/ARC-164.
