Vintage Disney Animator Al Stetter (1907 - 2008) “Boats In Maine.” #682 Oil on Canvas Painting. 1960’s-1970’s.  In the impressionistic style. 

Al Setter grewup near Gettysburg, PA. His art career began with a correspondence course from the International Correspondence School of Cartooning. He was an animator on every Disney feature, except "Snow White". There was a two year break when he animated the "Beanie" series. Retired 1970’s. 

Done with palette knife technique. Color’s are bright and crisp. 

Original frame and linen mat. Frame is approx. 19 1/2” x 15 5/8”.  Actual art mat is 14" X 10".  

Al Stetter's signature is in the lower left corner. He was left handed, so he always signed in the lower left corner. Back side is written #682 and Boats in Maine.
