Straight from our brass (and silver) instrument repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life...All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked.  Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in good playable condition.  For the collector who is looking for an instrument; we try to keep the original parts whenever possible; if the playability is good, we feel it should be left to the buyer's discretion to replace parts as desired.  We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and have shown what we can in the pictures allowed. We are happy to answer any questions asked.   #45/2017

Up for sale is a 1921 CG Conn 4B Symphony Model Trumpet in Bb, made in Elkhart, Ind, serial #178xxx.  This horn is made of yellow brass, except the tuning slide made of gold brass. This is a professional  model trumpet  from the early twenties and is nicely engraved and in very clean condition.

There are very few small dings and very light (if any) scratches, and no pitting. The bore is .458, with a 4 1/2" bell flare. The valves have good compression and slides move freely.  The horn can be played in Bb or set up for A by using the change valve.  Also included are the original lyre, cleaning rod and cornet adapter, and comes with a used, hard-sided case and a Conn-Symphony mouthpiece.

This horn is not lacquered, therefore, it will need to be polished periodically (we recommend Weiman METAL polish). This trumpet has been play tested by a professional who stated it had good power and played with a warm, fat tone.  Thanks for looking and check out our other items!
