This is a really well painted and charming, small, 19th century watercolor. The watercolor is signed in the lower left corner with the initials "A .H. L. 1860". The colors remain vibrant and the depiction of the shepherdess tending her flock is particularly captivating, The frame is from a later period and does have some missing gilt chips. The mat also has some staining-both are pictured, circa 1860. It actual image measures 7.625 in. wide, by 5.125 in. tall. Guaranteed to be as described.
