History

Faberge (1846-1920) acknowledged floral masterpiece is the fabulous pearl, diamond, gold and nephrite Lily-of-the-Valley basket, now in the New Orleans Museum of Art. This brooch is adapted from one of the blossoms in that basket, which was a favorite possession of the last Tsarina for whom it was created in 1896. The Lily-of-the-Valley was a favorite flower of the Tsarina since it symbolized happiness and marital bliss. Licensed reproduction, 24K gold plated pewter with color enamel details.
