W-Bus converter for Webasto Thermo Top C auxiliary heater Audi, VW, Landrover


The W-Bus converter is suitable for switching on and off almost all Webasto parking heaters or auxiliary heaters that communicate via the Webasto W-Bus protocol. 
These include the Webasto Thermo Top Z, C, E, V, EVO, VEVO and Airtop devices. 
In addition to W-Bus devices, the converter can also be used for continuous operation of Thermo Top Z/C parking heaters, 
which are switched on via a 12V switch-on signal at pin 1. 
The W-Bus converter is activated via a 12V signal at the input and transmits a switch-on command to the heater via the W-Bus output. The converter can be controlled both by a switch
and by an impulse. E.g. with a radio remote control (available in the shop), GSM module, thermostat, thermo call, etc. Furthermore, the W-Bus converter has a 12V switching output with which, for example, an IPCU module or a relay 
(available in the shop) for switching a fan and/or a circulating pump can be controlled.

The W-Bus converter can be adapted to personalrequirements via DIP switches:

-          - The switch-on command can be adjusted for the respective heating type.

-          - The running-time can be set to 30 minutes, 60 minutes or continuous operation. Nevertheless, it is always possible to switch off the heating via the converter input.

-          - The input can be set as a switch or button input (impulse).

-          - The on/off delay of the switching output can be adjusted.


If the heater can be started as a device via the diagnostic software after selecting "W-Bus" beforehand, then the converter will also work

I have already successfully tested auxiliary heaters from the following vehicle types:

- Landrover Discovery 3, Rangerover Sport before facelift (until 2010)
- All BMW with TT-V or TT-Evo
- Most VW / Audi work. A small, not exactly definable part of the auxiliary heaters are blocked.
