Mount Vernon Silver Souvenir Spoon  New in Box with Original Tag

Spoon features scenes of:  Mount Vernon Virginia, George Washington's Home

Measure  approx. 4"

Dutch American Import Co., Bend Oregon.  It is marked: DIA Holland. It is not otherwise marked. Box panels are shown in photos as well as spoon so you can read the Company’s representations, stating is is of the “highest quality” “made by their silversmiths.”

Condition: New in Box with Original Tags. 
Old stock. From estate of antique / vintage goods dealer. 

 It was made in Holland, distributed by a company based in Bend Oregon and originally sold in Mount Vernon’s gift shop.   It doesn’t bear US metal quality marks, or hallmarks. It is simply marked DIA Holland - see photos of spoon ad box. Tag on box indicates it was originally sold at Mount Vernon’s gift shop. 

It is vintage and may have some minor tarnish, it is as shown in photos. It is not marked, and is at least silver plate. As testing Sterling requires acid which can damage the spoon if it is plate. we have not tested this piece and are selling as plate. 

 It is a beautiful highly detailed piece.

It is an estate piece, old stock from estate of vintage/ antique dealer. Its exact age unknown.
