This beautiful reticulated dry fruit bowl with pedestal footing was supposedly made in Silesia Germany by the Hermann Ohme factory. The beautifully designed bowl with the cut basket and detailed pedestal has a mark on the bottom of a flying bird in a circle with the word Germany. I was able to locate the mark in one source which said it was attributed to the Hermann Ohme factory but unproven. Lack of proof does not diminish the beauty, however. There is a hand painted design of flowers in blue and yellow with leaves and ferns in a pale lavendar and browns. The gold trim which framed the cutouts, top edge and footing details has been worn off in many places but I am sure it could be replaced. The bowl stands 4.5" high and is 8.5" across. There are no chips cracks or crazing in this special piece.
