The Series 1 Jaguar E-Type was manufactured between 1961 and 1968. With a top speed of 150 mph and acceleration from 0–60 mph in 7.1 seconds its combination of good looks, high performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960’s motoring. Recognised by glass-covered headlights (up to 1967), small 'mouth' opening at the front, indicators and tail-lights above the bumpers and exhaust tail pipes under the number plate, all series 1 E-Types featured independent rear suspension and four wheel disc brakes.
