Here's an excellent   PARKER 51 SLENDER (later called DEMI) fountain from the first quarter of 1948 and in Cordovan Brown. The pen has a  brushed Lustraloy caps and chrome plated band and a blue diamond gold filled clip. I thought at first this must be a married cap, but Parkerpens.net, states that different caps were available for the Vacumatic demi, so it may be original. The pen is 4-7/8" long and is  externally flawless.  The pen is equipped with the vacumatic filler which fortunately still takes up a good quota of ink. Under the cap the section had some light opposing tool marks which I tried to polish out, but they are still visible and though much improved, they  still  could use some buffing (photos 10 & 11).  Nib is a medium gold point with good tip material. It is a smooth, very firm writer. Aside from the minor abrasions, this pen is in excellent condition.
