Offered from from the UK and sole maker of these are FOUR new rubber tyres, specifically made to fit the Mamod Traction engines TE1 and TE1A on the front and rear axles.

 Made from re enforced rubber they are hard wearing, easy to clean and have a single glued joint in each tyre which is disguised with indelible ink. They have a straight ribbed pattern.

Advantages.

*  The ribbing is aligned so they will accept the drive band on the rear wheel without it slipping off.

* If the drive band is a little old or stretched, by slightly increasing the diameter of the wheel, they will give an old drive band a new lease of life. 

* They enhance the look of an engine enormously. 

* They provide better grip on a slippery surface and when towing.

* They cover up, corroded or pitted wheels. 

* The engine is quieter to run.

*  They are easy to fit permanently or temporarily.

* They enhance the value of a machine.

* If the engine is left unused with the drive band on, it will not become corroded into the wheel groove.

* At just over £1 each they are a bargain.

* £1 postage (UK only)...no matter how many you buy!!! 

Disadvantages.

* Occasionally they can be supplied by me or others slightly over-width. Whilst I would deal with the issue if they are sold by me, otherwise, put the tyre on the wheel with the inner edge of the tyre aligned to the edge of the wheel. Then use a VERY sharp knife to run around the outer edge to trim it. This method should provide the cleanest cut.
