I bought several of these as I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chile. People here really want to speak English since it is needed for tourists and business. I have loaned/gifted copies of this program multiple times and it has really been effective. This program uses the same types of applications for learning Spanish. It is easy, common usage, and effective. Since this version is designed for XP, the application using Windows 7 or 8 can be difficult. I found that telling the program to simulate an older operating system usually cures the problems I have had. Often, it installs and works without any additional adjustment. I'm sure that there are systems that are more complex and complete but this is inexpensive and effective to get started with the language.
