100g of 2.2ND white retro reflective powder.

Reflective powder is used as a reflective pigment. Surface covered by it gains ability to reflect light back to its source and in result become well visible in low light environment. High light refraction makes this product superior when compared to ordinary reflective beads used in road marking paint.

This product is highly environment resistant - low and high temperatures, humidity or direct sunlight not affect its durability. It is worth to mention that light reflection phenomenon will be well visible when we use strong light source - like car lights or flashlight. Beside of it reflection will be seen better when observed from afar than from close distance - same as in case of road marks.

Retro-reflective powder can be used for road marking, safety clothes, crafts or similar.

How to use reflective powder:

- Reflective powder should be mixed with transparent or slightly coloured medium. Painted surface should have white or light colour.

- Contrary to cheaper 1.93ND reflective micro beads, 2.2ND reflective powder can be mixed directly with medium - it not have to be sticked to surface and protrude over it. This feature makes work with reflective powder easier, also painted surface has better durability. For example it's possible to mix 2.2ND powder with transparent lacquer and use such reflective paint for spray painting.

- Reflective powder should be close to surface - so paint layer shouldn't be very thick. Surface painted with reflective paint can be also additionally painted with protective lacquer.

- Reflection power of 1.93ND and 2.2ND reflective pigments is nearly the same - only important difference is that 2.2ND retro-reflective pigment can be mixed directly with medium - instead of sticking it to the surface as with 1.93ND reflective pigment. 2.2ND pigment is however more expensive so if there is only need to stick reflective powder to the surface, then 1.93ND reflective pigment is more economical choice.

Reflective micro beads are made from glass and thanks to this fact are very chamical resistant - albeit when exposed to strong alkali or acid it may become opaque and therefore less effective.
