- The cutting diameter is 60mm
- The length from bottom of cutter to top of shank is 90mm which is ideal for router sled work due to the extra length
- 3 indexable 12mm square, solid carbide inserts do all the work - each of these is removable, replaceable and can be rotated at any time if an edge gets dull
- The solid carbide inserts are very easy to find if you ever did need to replace any of them. The size required is 12mm x 12mm x 2mm
- The shank size is 1/2" or 12.7mm
- This is a very large, heavy router bit to be used with extreme caution
- As mentioned, I have another of these which I use regularly for flattening and milling large oak slabs. Mine is mounted permanently in a plunge router fixed to a milling sled.
- The carbide inserts, on the one that is in use, remain on their first edge. They have never been rotated and are still cutting as smoothly as on day 1
- This would be perfect for flattening large slabs for resin tables, surfacing spoil boards, cutting tenons etc
