How do we collect birch sap?

For centuries, birch forests have been tapped for their unique tree water – sap. The traditions of tapping remain the same even nowadays as well as the fresh energy blast each time you sip a sap.

The sap is being collected when it’s the best quality – in the very beginning of March, from 2 to 4 weeks, in certified and organic forest areas. A small hole is made in the trunks of healthy birch trees, then the sap starts dripping into the tanks. Almost 100 liters of sap can be collected from one birch tree over one season.

Although the tapping season is short, our certified technology allows us to serve you fresh sap all year round!

How do we prepare birch tree sap?

There is a long way until the drop of sap reaches our customers. Thorough quality checks have to be made and requirements met for the sap to find its way to the store shelves. To ensure irreproachability, flavour, taste and smell must be tested in a laboratory. It is a sensitive and delicate product that starts to perish quickly, however, improved technologies allow us to keep the sap fresh, preserving all the valuable qualities. The sap is sterilized and safely stored without any preservatives.
