I have acquired a nice grouping of very early (1600s-1700s) books that are IN SPANISH and bound in vellum. This title page for this book reads "Suma De Las Leyes Penales (Sum of Criminal Laws)" by Francisco De La Pradilla. Published in Madrid by La Imprenta del Reyno, 1639. The vellum binding shows wear, rippling. The endpaper show some chipping/edgewear. The title page is slightly-worn and shows some old ink markings and writing. There is just a bit of worm/insect damage as shown. The remainder of the text block is sound and complete. Cover hinges are cracked and text block is barely attached to the vellum covers. Measures 6 X 8, 145 pages. I am not able to provide any further information about this book. I will offer this very early book for only $500.00 plus $5.00 S&H in the US. Shipping costs to Canada will be considerably less than the general international rate quoted.
