1. Introduction
Many of my dear hobbyist friends asked me times for a solution to protect Solar Panels from strong wind. The solution I provide is an affordable and low cost.
The sensor will trigger moving the PV panel from South to North for horizontal position at 44K/h (27M/h) if the wind speed is continuously maintained for 10sec to 15sec. Wind gusts of 2-4 seconds of 44K/h or above will not trigger it. The Anemometer minimum wind speed is 2 to 4m/s.
The analog sensor is working in a open loop, i.e. the move from South to North should be designed such that the end of move will stop when the PV panel is at horizontal position. The sensor board will drive the PV panel but the gimbal ether linear motor or axial motor must stop the move when reached to horizontal.
