This is a very rare light it measures in at a grand 38 inches tall and is it appears to be made of bronze . This light was salvaged out of an old Victorian style home that was in front of the LA Coliseum . The home was so grand in scale that through the years it has been divided up into four different separate living units as you often see in downtown LA . It  was originally a kerosene  light and was located down by the main banister to light up the staircase before going up . Are two other lights that are also salvage and they are a smaller pair of kerosene sconces and are being auctioned separate The reason I like this heavy, bronze light so much is because of how it perfectly captures the craftsmanship of the era which is now being lost in time. There is such amazing detail to the slight the flowers that are in the back bronze plate and the west through the iron are absolutely amazing it's true beauty could not be captured in photos Lights made of this caliber were made for special estates, by I am assuming architects This is an original done with great detail and such beauty.
