Filament Dryers are designed for drying wet/humid filament, if your filament is brittle, snaps, doesn't stick or is even stringy it is likely to be wet, pop it in a dryer and this should fix that for you.
Please note filament can be damp/wet directly from the bag, it is made with a bath and sealing with a silica pouch doesn't always do the trick.
You should always have a dryer on hand.
