These fittings will allow you to block off the refrigerant lines to a rear A/C unit and use only a front A/C unit.  This is a common way to bypass leaking underbody lines or rear A/C unit and regain normal A/C operation from the front unit.

You should disassemble the A/C lines and look at them before you order to make sure they will fit.  If you take you your fittings apart and discover you have one of these rare vehicles, you can return these fittings to me at your shipping cost as long as they are in perfect unused condition.

These fittings are factory equipped with a sealing washer and a radial seal O-ring, mine are equipped with a face seal O-ring and a radial seal O-ring made of HNBR green rubber, this is the preferred material.  The sealing washer was installed by Ford as a backup for the radial O-ring, these sealing washers work very well, but they are expensive.  I use a face seal O-ring, this method is just as reliable, (it's also only a backup for the radial seal O-ring) requires more machining, but saves cost because the O-rings are cheaper than the sealing washers.

These are extremely easy to install for any A/C technician or DIY mechanic.
