no tears or construction issues, still stretches and perfectly wearable in the elastic panels, but the elastic that runs across the top of the back of the bustier has no stretch left  in it. 

Waist lying flat, no pull or stretch : 25". Plenty of elastic  to  stretch so waist can be larger  than 25".
