Christine.
Built in 1928 by the Midland Railway Carriage & Wagon Company as a second class restaurant car for the London-Harwich boat trains, Car No.64 was subsequently rebuilt in 1937 as a third class parlour car.
Having run in many different trains it was withdrawn from British Rail service in 1967 having served its last days as part of the Bournemouth Belle.
Following withdrawal it became one of five Pullmans in the Bulmer’s Cider Train, renamed ‘Christine’ and toured the country as part of their promotional train.
The Venice-Simplon Orient Express purchased the train in 1985 and Christine was offered for sale.
Purchased in 1987 by the Horsted Keynes Pullman Car Group,  Christine continues to provide a valuable service for special occasions on the Bluebell Railway and is in regular use as part of their
Golden Arrow Pullman Train.
