This is a very well cared for teapot.  It does not appear to have been used.  There is no tea inside staining.  Made by Crown Devon of England in the early 1960's it was part of a collection named 'Coaching Days' for the days before the auto when travel was by horse-drawn coaches.  This cream colored teapot has transferware scenes of the 'The Manor House' at Oxford on one side and 'The Swan Inn' at Hereford on the reverse side.  There is gold trim on the lid edge, the uppermost teapot edge, the spout and handle.  There is even a gold dot on the top of the finial on the lid!  There are no chips, no flea bites, no cracks or crazing.  The colors are good and the artist has made their mark on the bottom also.  This is a rare piece - I could not find another.  Great collectible!
